Woman In Bay Area Has Breast Augmentation Revision with Capsulectomy

Procedure Details

This patient presented with concerns regarding the appearance of her breasts following a previous breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon. She stated that she noticed her breasts had become hardened and less mobile. She also admitted intermittent discomfort in both of her breasts. In her cosmetic consultation with Dr. Gray, he informed the patient that her breasts had formed scar capsules around the breast implants. He recommended a capsulectomy procedure to be accompanied by some modifications to the breast implant pockets to give her a more natural-looking appearance. He also recommended changing out her breast implants for a different size/profile that would compliment her body contours. During her procedure, Dr. Gray performed the breast implant exchange using strattice help maintain the placement and position of the new pair of breast implants. The breast implants were placed underneath the pec muscles at the inframammary folds of the breasts. The patient healed well and resumed her normal activities quickly. Results pictured below are 6 months following surgery.
