Everything You Need to Know About FaceTite

Posted in FaceTite

Are you interested in taking years off your facial appearance but are not interested in invasive facial surgery? If you are unhappy with stubborn sagging skin around the face and neck or loss of the youthful definition and want to rejuvenate your appearance, FaceTite may be just the procedure for which you’ve been searching.

Bay Area Plastic Surgery’s board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard Gray offers several skin rejuvenating procedures such as FaceTite to help his patients that come from near and far away achieve their skin goals.

Here is everything you may want to know about FaceTite and how it can restore your youthful facial features.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that helps reduce the appearance of stubborn, sagging skin and loss of definition by enhancing the face’s natural contours. As skin ages, it begins to lose essential proteins like elastin, collagen, and muscle beneath the surface, resulting in a drooping appearance.

FaceTite uses a new radiofrequency device called Embrace RF to eliminate stubborn fat, tighten loosened skin, and stimulate collagen production to create a more youthful appearance. Because there are no inorganic substances injected into the skin to replace fat loss, this treatment is often referred to as the most natural facelift.

FaceTite can be done in a fraction of the time of other surgical options, and there is a much shorter recovery period with natural results. Some patients are able to return to work in about 3-5 days.

What To Expect From a FaceTite Procedure

First, you will be placed under a local anesthetic to ensure a comfortable and pain-free experience. Dr. Gray will make a small incision, called an access point, in the skin of the targeted area. He will insert a slender probe into the access point, gliding below the skin in the subcutaneous tissue where the fat and collagen reside. Radiofrequency energy is then delivered between the internal probe and an external electrode, safely heating the fat and soft tissue of the skin. The heat created by this process stimulates collagen and induces fat cell death and results in a tighter, younger-looking appearance.

What Can FaceTite Treat?

  • Jowls
  • Neck
  • Cheeks
  • Double chin
  • Nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth)
  • Periorbital region of the face (around the eyes, brows, and eyelids)

What to Expect From Recovery

You can expect some swelling immediately after the procedure due to fluid injection with the local anesthetic, but it should resolve itself within 24-48 hours. Though it is rare, you may also experience some minimal bruising in the days following your treatment. The procedure and recovery are essentially pain-free. Many patients can resume their normal activities and return to work within a few days.
